Meet The Edge
Andrew Edge.
Teacher. Neighbour. Community leader. Candidate for Ward 3, Georgina Town Council.

A Residents-First Approach
From my home to yours.
I've lived in Ward 3 long enough to see what works and what doesn't. I've watched our tax dollars flow to costly consultants while our roads crumble. I've seen decisions made behind closed doors that affect our lakefront, our neighborhoods, and our way of life, with no meaningful input from the people who live here.
I'm running because I believe Ward 3 deserves a councillor who treats public service as exactly that: service. Not a stepping stone, not a title, but a responsibility to listen, to be accountable, and to make decisions based on data and community input, not political convenience.
I don't have all the answers. But I do have the discipline to find them, the transparency to share the process, and the commitment to put Ward 3 residents first in every decision I make.
That's the Edge difference: a councillor who works for you, is honest with you, and, most importantly, is reachable by you.
Your voice, your community, your council
Andrew has consistently demonstrated his commitment to the people of Georgina through his visible, hands-on involvement in local initiatives. Currently, Andrew serves as the Chair of Jericho, where he leads efforts to empower the community through vital social programming and outreach.
His dedication to youth and community health is further evidenced by his volunteer work in local athletics. During the pandemic, when public facilities were shuttered, Andrew co-founded an open-water swim team at the Island Grove public dock. By transforming a local landmark into a hub for activity and connection, he proved his ability to find creative solutions to community needs.
As an avid open-water swimmer who loves fishing and spending time on Lake Simcoe, Andrew has a deep personal connection to Georgina's waterways. His time on the water with local athletes and fellow anglers sparked a strong passion for environmental transparency. He has been a vocal advocate for better communication regarding Lake Simcoe water quality, pushing for mandatory, clear public testing advisories so that all families, swimmers, and fishers always know when it is safe to enjoy Georgina's waterfront.
Whether he is in the classroom mentoring the next generation, guiding initiatives at Jericho, or listening to neighbours at the Island Grove dock, Andrew Edge is a constant presence in the community. He is not just looking for a seat at the table; he is looking to bring the residents of Ward 3 with him, ensuring that Georgina remains a vibrant, healthy, and prosperous place to call home.
